In June 1985, he hosted the heavy metal music program Heavy Metal Mania. Twisted Sister released their 4th album Come Play in November 1985. He became the host of the syndicated heavy metal/rock radio show The Hair House with Dee Snider in 1997. The following year, the multi-talented singer featured in the horror film Foreign Land also doubling as screenwriter and co-producer.

In 2002, he announced that he was reuniting with Twister Sister. He was also on actor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s governance campaign in 2003.
