John Krasinski Cooks Emily Blunt Dinner Every Week Because of Leonardo DiCaprio

Some husbands cook for their wives because they're great chefs or hopeless romantics. John Krasinski cooks dinner for Emily Blunt once a week because of Leonardo DiCaprio.

How is it that Blunt has the Oscar winner to thank for her weekly dose of marital romance? Turns out, it all comes down to a bet the couple made about DiCaprio's age.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night, Krasinski told the story of how this bet came to be. Blunt told Krasinski that DiCaprio was 41 years old and Krasinski, who apparently forgot that Titanic is almost 20 years old, did not believe her at all.

"I said, 'How dare you! That cherub of a man—that cherub of a talent—can't be more than 28,'" Krasinski told Kimmel during their interview.

Of course, Krasinski was dead wrong. DiCaprio is 41. But Blunt knew how to make the most of her husband's celebrity age ignorance. "She said 'If I'm right, you have to cook for me every Sunday. And if you're right, you get to play Call of Duty once a week.'"

Krasinski took the bet, but mostly he's been a good sport about losing.

He does try to get out of his weekly cooking duties from time-to-time (he shared an adorable story about trying to use The Force, Star Wars-style to get a week off), but for the most part he seems to have really embraced his role as family chef. He even made Blunt's favorite meal, a British roast, for Mother's Day—even after she warned him that it was a difficult meal to make and suggested he try something easier.

So, that pretty much proves it: John Krasinski is the perfect husband.
