Luke Knox cause of death updates Buffalo Bills hold minute of silence for star Dawson Knox's bro
Luke recovered from surgery before his position change
When Luke Knox was approached to move into the linebacker position at Ole Miss, he had just recovered from surgery for a sports hernia.
“Lebby called me into his office and talked to me about what I thought about making the change with (co-defensive coordinator D.J.) Durkin in there.”
“We talked about it, and I said I was wide open for it and would love to do it and I’ve been looking forward to it,” Knox told 247Sports.
Luke was excited about transferring to linebacker
Luke Knox said he was excited about transferring from tight end to linebacker at Ole Miss in an interview with 247Sports.
"I'm really excited about it," Knox said at the time.
"Obviously, there is a lot more to learn that I think on defense. Defense is a lot more read and react. Offense is a lot more structured."
"I'm liking it so far. The tight ends room is pretty open. I love getting out there getting some reps and trying to make some plays."
Tommy Sweeney wears shirt to honor Luke
The Buffalo Bills player was one of the players to wear the t-shirt that reads, "long live Luke" to honor Dawson Knox's brother.
A photo of Sweeney was captured by Buffalo Bills staff photographer, Harry Scull Jr, and shared to Twitter.
Who is Dawson Knox, conclusion
Dawson has two biological siblings: Lucy James, who is six years younger than him, and Luke, who was three years younger.
His parents decided to adopt Nate and Isaiah when he was 15 years old.
"We just started realizing that Isaiah and Nate felt just like blood brothers to us. It didn't come naturally at first," he told Spectrum News in 2019.
“As we kind of grew together and more time went on they opened up to us more.
"Nate was already two, so he was able to talk and all that, so he kind of already had developed a little bit.
"As he started opening up to us, we really just started getting really close.
"They're awesome. I can't imagine our family without him."
