Who is Zac Stacy? Former NFL player's video with ex-girlfriend goes viral

Zac Stacy, a former NFL player, has landed himself in hot water after a video of him attacking his ex-girlfriend, Kristin Evans, went viral on the internet.

It did not take long for people to start commenting on the same. At the time of writing, Zac has not released a statement regarding the incident. However, Kristin has spoken out in relation to the situation while starting a GoFundMe Page to take a stand against domestic violence.

Who is Zac Stacy?

Zac is a former New York Jets player. Unfortunately, he could not be a part of the NFL for a long time due to an injury he suffered during a game. Despite this, Zac has continued to keep football a part of his life.

From a young age, Zac had been interested in the sport and had even shown exceptional skills while playing for his college football team. As per Exact Worth, Zac was awarded Vanderbilt’s MVOP Award.

In 2013, he was even drafted by St. Louis Rams in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. A couple of years later, in 2015, he was traded to New York Jets. While Zac played a couple of games for the team, his reign was short-lived as he suffered an injury while playing against the Buffalo Bills.

Due to this, in August 2017, Zac revealed he would be retiring from NFL. A year later, he signed a deal with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Following this, Zac joined the Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football.

On November 18, the internet was left shocked when a video of Zac attacking his ex-girlfriend surfaced online. Shortly after this, Kristin revealed she had called the police and filed for a restraining order against the ex-NFL player as she was worried about her and her son’s safety.

In her court documents, she noted: “He punched me several times in the head! I begged him to stop because the baby was on the couch just a few feet from where he punched me.”

The document further noted: “I fear for my life and my children’s lives.” Kristin further added that she was hospitalized after the incident took place.”

While Zac is yet to break his silence, Kristin has been speaking up about the situation.

In her Instagram story, she said: “I would like to raise awareness for domestic violence victims and become an advocate. I want to encourage all men and women who have been a victim of domestic violence to reach out to your local domestic violence center for help and I would like to help provide better resources for them.”

She has also started a GoFundMe page to raise awareness about domestic violence.
